BATON ROUGE, La. – (Feb. 6, 2008) –TraceSecurity, a leading SaaS provider offering security compliance and risk management software and services, today announced the availability of TraceSecurity Compliance Manager 4.1. TraceSecurity was the first to market with a comprehensive SaaS-based solution to address all of the components of a successful security compliance program; people, process and technology. Through a single web-based interface TraceSecurity Compliance Manager automates regulatory compliance audits, board level reporting, policy management, vulnerability scanning, and employee education and testing.
With today’s new 4.1 release, TraceSecurity makes it even easier for partners and direct users alike to manage the compliance process. Enhanced reporting functionality allows for more specialized reports related specifically to regulators associated to the user. In addition, the newly redesigned user group feature allows for segmentation of policies and training courses based on the user’s access levels and department needs. More enhancements to the policy and training components allow for customized notifications allowing for easier corporate policy roll outs and user training updates.
Other new features that benefit the channel and direct users alike include the ability to pause a network scan instantaneously. Through comprehensive pause scheduling options, users can now choose the exact times that scans will run and stop. In addition, if a scan has not completed by the allotted time, it will simply pause mid-test and wait until the schedule states that it can resume.
“Mission critical servers only have limited times when testing should occur, and with these enhanced pause capabilities now offered by TraceSecurity Compliance Manager, it allows administrators to know exactly when a scan will and will not be running without having to baby sit the process,” said Jim Stickley, CTO of TraceSecurity, Inc. “If a scan doesn’t complete by the required time there is no need to worry, the scanner will simply pause according to its schedule giving the system administrator complete peace of mind.”
For organizations using LDAP, TraceSecurity Compliance Manager’s new remote login functionality allows users access via their own LDAP authentication.
“TraceSecurity continues to lead the evolution in comprehensive corporate compliance management with an easily deployable solution that helps make very complicated issues simple,” said Jim Stickley. “With 4.1 we’ve continued on that mission and have added numerous features to simplify the compliance process even more.”
